If your hearing aids are lost, stolen, or damaged, follow these steps:
Step 1: Contact Bellbird Hearing
Let us know what has happened. We regularly work with insurance providers and can support you through the process.
We will:
- Assess whether your hearing aids can be repaired
- Provide a quote if replacement is needed
- Help you gather information required for your insurance claim
Step 2: Contact your insurance provider
Start your claim with your contents insurance provider and let them know you would like Bellbird Hearing to handle the replacement.
Some insurers may suggest preferred suppliers or request alternative quotes. This is standard practice.
You always have the right to choose your audiology provider. You are not required to change clinics if you prefer to continue your care with us.
If needed, you can also request a cash settlement so you can proceed with your preferred provider.
Step 3: Replacement and ongoing support
Once your claim is underway, we will:
- Work with your insurer to process the claim
- Order replacement hearing aids
- Fit and program your new devices
Where available, we may also provide loan hearing aids so you can continue to hear clearly while waiting for approval or replacement.
