Insurance Replacement of Hearing Aids in Christchurch & Timaru

Hearing aids are usually covered under most home contents insurance policies. If you have hearing aids fitted at Bellbird Hearing, we recommend informing your insurer when you purchase them and checking whether they need to be listed separately on your policy.

If your hearing aids are lost or significantly damaged, we can help guide you through the insurance replacement process.

Do I need to tell my insurance company about hearing aids?

Yes — we recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your hearing aids are covered.

Some insurers require hearing aids to be:

  • Specifically listed on your policy
  • Valued separately
  • Added as individual insured items

Checking this early helps avoid issues if you ever need to make a claim.
